Me dribbling on about my weekend

All I can say is woooh, what a long weekend. Saturday I went to my husbands badminton tournament and spent most of the day driving back and fourth picking up my Father in-law, taking some friends who were with me down the street to pick up some lunch, driving to bunnings (all round hardware store with everything) to get a car carpet cleaner as I stupidly spilt a whole cup of coffee in the car on the drivers side grrrrrrr. I could never be a taxi driver! Driving is so trying for me. Then we had dinner with two friends at Saigon Restaurant in Northbridge and I had my usual fattening roast duck with plum sauce, soooo yummy!
Sunday I was in complete control of my Husbands restaurant as his torment proceeded into this day as well, and it was surprisingly really slow so the day just dragged through even slower. I had two workers with me and I had to send one home early which is very unusual for us as we always need more people LOL. Got home and watched a rental then hit the hay. Monday we got up a little earlier then usual and Nas (hubby) bought me my Ray Ban Wayfarers sunnies as a bday gift, then we rushed to my Fathers house for a bday lunch, then when leaving the most stupid thing happened again... Nas left a smoothie in the car and when I got in my super large bag knocked it and the whole thing spilt just like what happened on saturday. Only this time it was on the passenger side, LOL isn't that weird? We rushed home and I steamed both side in the car (I had already washed the coffee side twice but it still smelt) and it killed all the germs and odors. Man I love steamers everyone should go out and buy one! Anyways the day still ain't over LOL. Nas headed off to work to do a quick one off booking (he gets mondays off so I was pretty angry he had to go in) and I set off to my Mothers for a small family size dinner to celebrate my bday. Nas came later and we didn't leave until about 11pm. And now today I have a super messy house as I didn't have any time to clean up and Nas is such a messy bugga LOL. I feel so warn out. Sorry about my dribbling on about stuff you probably are just not that interested in. As for making videos, I'm not sure if I'll be doing one this week but if I do it will most likely be a random one sorry (aka not beauty related). For everyone waiting on tutorials I'm really sorry =(. I'm hoping to get my victoria one up soon and also I want to do a super cute pink one for my subscribers not interested in Twilight. I'm really sorry to everyone about just doing Twilight tutorials, I've just really wanted to get them out of the way otherwise I'd never get them done. I'm sorry if this post doesn't make any sense, I'm just really tired. Anyways I'll catch you all soon I got to go to the post office, then pick up something to eat and if I have time I have to wash the car (outside this time)
love jodie xoxo

Birthday Post ^_^

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted anything new lately. I just haven't had anything interesting to share. Anyways I thought I'd post to let everyone know what's been going on in my life over the last few days. Today as some of you may know already (mainly people who follow me on twitter) that it is my 22nd Birthday today. The day started out pretty good =) went to my Mum's place and then headed to Friday night shopping in Perth with one of my good friends Chantelle aka Channy. We had a really good time my cheeks are sore from laughing, and of course I had to make the most out of being in the city so I picked up a MAC Blush in Dame. I said I wanted the Hello Kitty Tippy Blush before but it was just far too pink for me. Channy currently has a pj obsession so she nearly bought another pair but luckily I swayed her away from it only I'm afraid I have gotten her into another addiction... makeup LOL. I don't feel guilty though it would be great to have a friend that I can take to the MAC store with me. I really wanted to get some more stuff but the blush alone was 40 AUS$ and my husband is getting me some Ray Ban Wayfarers so I wanted to make sure that there would be enough money in the bank LOL. Anyways I better stop yapping away. This Monday I'll be celebrating my bday with my Dad and Mum as my husband gets Mondays off (Dad for Lunch, Mum for Dinner as my parents are divorced) so I'll be getting 2 bday cakes. When I think about it I'd rather have a birthday cake on my bday then any presents, just aslong as I'm with the people I love =D. Have a great weekend everyone =)

My Ghost Encounter

Ok ok so before I start I would just like to say that this is a true story of a ghost encounter and in no way I am saying or encouraging anyones beliefs. If you find this offensive in anyway then please just stop reading. The reason why I am putting this in my blog is because I have gotten many requests to hear my story and I would prefer to put it on my blog as I believe there will be too much negative feed back from others if I'd post it on youtube. Stress I just don't want LOL. Also you'll have to excuse my writing technique and grammar and I'm not the best story teller, enjoy. Oh I forgot to say that I figured its better to write this like an actual story from my perspective.

The night was calm and still, even the roads were bare as I sat in the back of my Mothers pearl sonata. She was chatting away to my Aunt, I couldn't recall what they were talking about as I was in my own world watching closely at the unusual tranquil streets quickly passing me by. We were getting closer to our destination which was my friends house where I would be spending the night. I felt a sudden jolt and it pulled me from my subconscious mind. The car had stalled right on the corner of my friends street. I watched as my Mother frantically tried to restart the car with my Aunt giving unwanted advice to her. I turned my head back to the window and saw the shrub that my friend had told me she had left a candle in a few days before, she had been playing the Ouiji board with others and had left in such a hurry that she forgot the used candle. Being at the tender age of 15 my friends and I often played such games, I always had a sneaking suspicion that one of us was always moving the glass. It was all in the name of fun. Turning my head back to the front still waiting for the car to restart I saw something in the corner of my eye and looked up to see the rear view mirror. In the reflection there was a girl, she was Caucasian, had long un-styled brown hair, a little overweight, and was wearing a dark diamond shaped strappy clubbing top standing in the middle of the deserted road. In her appearance she was very average, nothing strange about her visually at all except for the way she moved. Her arms were folded and she looked as if she was very mad and she was walking from side to side, however her speed was not humanly possible. In a way it seemed that she was floating in a rocking motion. The whole time I would blink and rub my eyes to refocus but every time I would look into that mirror she was definitely there. Finally I turned around to the place where she was but there was no one there, I turned back around to the mirror and there she was again in that mirror. Once again I turned around very quickly and she was gone. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it was impossible for someone to get out of sight that quickly especially if they were in the middle of the road. At first I thought it was someone playing a trick on me, I tried desperately to find a reasonable explanation but nothing could explain this except one thing. Realizing what she was I hesitantly turned to the front to stair into the mirror again but at the exact time my eyes met the mirror the car came to a roaring start and she was no more. In shock I did not tell my Mother or Aunt of my spiritual encounter and quietly said my goodbyes as our car stopped on the drive way. After awhile I did confide in my friend and she believed me as she had also experienced an encounter but that is another story.

So thats as best as I can remember. By practicing the Ouiji board and leaving the candle (candles are very powerful when magically charged) it invited spirits. Also for a long time I had a sneaking suspicion that my Mum's car had something to do with the spirit. As we only had the car for about 1 week as of then and it was second hand. I kind of suspected the car may have been involved in some way of her death. Whether it be the cause of death or if she died in the car I do not know. I did eventually tell my Mum but she didn't believe me. I don't mind if you don't believe me are I do respect everyones beliefs. But I will tell you this before the sighting I was a little skeptical of religion and faiths but after seeing this spirit I have never doubted since that there is a higher source. To me this is god (whether that be in mans form, woman's form, mother natural, everything...)

Its something you will never believe till you have seen it for yourself.

Also I know everyone is probably curious what happened to my friend. Before I share this I 'd just like to say I'm the only person she has told and she only told me this because I had shared my story and that she didn't want to tell anyone as she didn't want people to think her to be crazy.
One night her parents went out and she was left alone (this happened within the same week when I saw the ghost). She went to the toilet and locked the door as she usually does. But then she started to hear something very strange. The sound was directly on the other side of the door, she told me at first it sounded like breathing. She thought it must be one of her cats but then it started to get heavier and quicker. She explained it to be sort of an evil screeching breathe. Then she heard a very heavy scratching on the door that would have caused deep scratch marks. She says this went one for about 5 or 10 minutes. But even after it stopped she didn't leave the toilet till many hours later when her parents came home. All the cats were locked outside during this and when looking on the door there wasn't a single scratch mark.

Once again I'd like to say that I looked away many times from the mirror and refocused on it at the time and she was still there so it was not a trick of the mirror and the view of it was in fact the middle of the street because I could see a far house at the end of the street which was directly behind me. And I also have perfect 20/20 vision.

I hope I didn't give anyone nightmares. To me this story isn't scary at all, I was more in shock then scared. My brother in-law use to be a spiritual healer in Indonesia and he has told me some pretty scary stuff.

I hope to get some videos done soon. Just got to wait for this stupid pimple to ease down a bit =).

Pink Fish, Blacktrack & Falsies

Just a little haul from Monday. I went to MAC to check out the Hello Kitty Collection but I only picked up the Pink Fish Lip Conditioner, don't get me wrong I thought the collection was all great but I didn't love it. I think its because most of the colours are more on a cool tone and right now I'm going through more of a warm tone phase as its now autumn (I know I'm such a weirdo). The Pink Fish is a cool tone too but I knew this would look really hot with black smokey eyes. Plus I fell in love with the packaging. Anyway while I was at the MAC store I also picked up the famous Fluidline in Blacktrack. This was one of the first items I ever wanted to get from MAC but for some reason I completely forgot about it. I'm yet to try it out but once I've used it a few times I might do a video review. I also wanted to checkout some more eyeshadows and stuff but the counter was being put away so I was feeling rushed and just got these two items. After I left the main shopping area my husband and I went to King Kongs (its like a $2 shop) and I found these two fake eyelashes for only $2. They are by beauty essentials. Their rim's looks pretty thick but for $2 how could you go wrong? I don't think I'm going to use the latex glue that came with them though.
While I was in the city I did get the chance to check out the Too Faced Lash Injection. I smelt the formula and I personally think the citrus smell is nice and the wand is huge! Next pay day woohoo.

Yesterday was fun, Nas and I went to Jaws which has a revolving sushi train and we chowed down all the sushi, miso and japanese tea we could =). Just the thought of it makes me want to whip up a pot of miso soup. Anyways I better be off. I hope everyone has a fabulous day.

I will be posting my spirit encounter on this blog soon, as I got quite a few responses from people wanting to hear my story.

Untapped Source - Spotlight & New Video

So a few days ago I headed to my local spotlight (craft store) to checkout the softness of the fan brushes to see if I could use it for eyeshadow fallout rather then buying a $20 one. It did turn out to be quite soft surprisingly (all the other fan brushes were stiff and had a scary feel to them). While I was there I decided to see if there was any other suitable brushes I could use for makeup and I only found one I'm happy with. Everything was mostly either too large or too stiff and spiky to use except for this angled brush. Its not as stiff as I would have liked it to be but I have used it already for applying e/s as liner and it works really well, I'm yet to try it for gel/liquid liner though. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

Here are the brushes

1/4 Francheville 260 Taklon
10 Francheville 697 Taklon
and they were both around the $5 mark. I did get a bit of a
discount though because I'm a spotlight member which is free to join

Twilight DVD & Mini Haul

Hello, just a quick post for you all and a picture of a small haul. I have quite a few videos in the works so if you are interested but aren't yet subscribed please do so you'll be notified when my next video is up =). I know that I said that I will be trying to get at least one twilight tutorial up each week until I have finished them but I'm finding it hard to get a look I'm happy with for my Esme makeup. But don't be worried I'm not disappearing in fact I have 2 video's I'm editing on my computer right now. A Tag and a quick update and haul (the same items in the picture above).

Anyways today I pre-ordered my Twilight 2 Disc Special Edition from Virgin Music in Myer. I'm super excited because I'll also be getting a bonus disc just for pre-ordering! The only bad news is that it wont be coming out till the 22nd of April here in Australia. For anyone else in Australia who is interested in getting this bonus disc I do urge you to pre-order soon as its while stocks last (at least thats what I've heard). You can also get this deal at sanity. My customer order is actually in the picture LOL.

Here is everything else in my haul =)
- Dusk scent pillar burner thingy LOL forgot what they are called! It was only $15
- Dusk Melt in Tibet
- Dusk Melt in  Honolulu (you melt them in the scent pillar & they last for about 3 hours). They smell so good!
- Artistry Stippling Brush (this is surprisingly really soft)
- Playboy lipstick in Muse (went from being $17 to $10 so I got it)
- MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle (I will be talking about this in an upcoming tag so keep and eye out for that)

Finally I found this picture of myself from the Alice Cullen Tutorial I did a few weeks back.
I hope everyone has a great day =)

Handbag Hook

Today I went to a Bridal show with my bride-to-be sister and saw this little stand selling all these really cool crystals and accessories and I saw this! A hand bag holder which I have been trying to find for ages. It was originally $30 but he was selling them for $15 just for the show so I had to get one. Its great as it holds my big heavy bags without a fuss, super sturdy! In the second picture it looks red but its actually the colour of the first image.

Ok ok, if you haven't seen one already and are wondering what the point is to this then let me explain. Its basically a hook for your handbag that you carry around with you everywhere so the next time you are in a restaurant or anywhere else where you will be sitting at a table you get your hook out and hang it with you bag on the edge of the table. Some may think this is stupid but if you are a hygienic freak like me then you will love this, I can't stand having to put my bag on the floor. Also if you have lack of space its the perfect tool. Plus its super cute and you will most likely be the envy of all the other handbag owners in the restaurant =P.

So yeah thats it for this post, I just wanted to share as I was super excited about this purchase. Love you all xoxo

Twilight Tutorial - Rosalie Hale Video

Yay! I've posted my Twilight Tutorial - Rosalie Hale video so check it out if you haven't already. I had so much fun making this tutorial and I'm absolutely loving how it turned out. For product info visit this video on youtube and view it in the description box. I forgot to mention in the video to apply a black mascara, oops my bad LOL. I might just put an annotation right now before I forget again. Personally I don't like Rosalie I think she is a class A biatch, I really tried to like her in Eclipse after she told Bella her dreadful story, but then I started hating her again in Break Dawn (she didn't even seem phased about Bella dying). Anyways here are some pictures of the final look =)

Next look is Esme Cullen. I'll try to post that in about a weeks time =)

In's and Out's

Lipton Lemon Ice Tea -
I been loving this stuff lately but only the lemon one not the other flavours.

Lush Products -
Love all of their products, what more can I say?

Darker shades of Lipsticks and Lip Gloss's -
I have always stayed clear of any dark shades for my lips but now I'm feeling more confident to wear them. I think thats thanks to my Benefit Silky-Finish Lipstick in Ms. Behavin.

Gardening -
Gets me back in touch with nature and is so pretty especially if your planting flowers.

Ray Ban Wayfarers -
I have been keeping my eye open for a pair I want, they always sell out quickly.

Tic Tac's -
There is nothing worse then having a stinky breath so I always take tic tacs where ever I go.

Converse Shoes -
I have always loved these sneakers since I was 11 but I forgot about them during my girly phase. Bring back the converse sneaker!

Shimmery Nail Polish -
I just am not into it right now, every time I paint my nails I'm always reaching for my matte/cream coloured nail polishes instead.

Buying  products Tested on Animals -
Recently I have found out a few makeup companies I have bought from are testing on animals GGGGRRRRR }=(.

Myspace -
Myspace was my first online social networking profile but I have moved on and have deleted my account. I not saying that I hate myspace, its just not for me anymore.

Being negative -
There is no point to bringing yourself down, nothing good ever comes from that. Staying positive can change your whole out look on life for the better =).

Filming Done - Rosalie Hale

Hello everyone, yep I have filmed my Rosalie Hale makeup tutorial and all that has to be done now is the editing. I had a lot of fun doing this look and even took some pictures to use on my facebook. I have taken some pictures but I wont be posting them till I am closer to uploading the video which should be soon. I have however left use with a picture of my inspiration. The photo above is of Sophia Loren. I don't see Rosalie looking like Sophia but in this picture I do (minus the brown hair). My makeup look is based a little around this photo as well as the description and personality of Rosalie in the books.

Keep checking this blog as I will be posting the makeup draft drawing and products used in the movie Twilight to portray Rosalie Hale.

Love Jodie xoxo

No More Panda Eyes!

Check out this great eye makeup removing tutorial!

Mini Haul Time

Just a little haul today of a few things I've been wanting to get for awhile. First is Redken's Smooth Down Heat Glide serum, its quite thick so I can only use a very little amount otherwise it will make my hair look really oily. Its really annoying that most heat protective sprays/serums are for flat irons mostly grrr. This is for a more sleek look but I got it because it was only $15!!! Which is really cheap for Redken.
The next item is a Bamboo Eye Shading Brush by ECOTOOLS. It has synthetic bristles but it is still really soft and the handle is made of Bamboo which is great for the environment.
The last is The Body Shop's Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Gel which I have had my eye on for quite some time. I saw a tutorial on youtube on how to remove stubborn mascara without gettting panda eyes or pulling on your skin. She squeezed this product (which is a white gel/cream) on to a clean mascara wand and basically applied it and ran it through her lashes till the mascara was loosened from her lashes and then she wiped off the excess with a normal makeup removing wipe. I have already tired this and its great, I didn't get any panda eyes or eyelash loss. The only con is that you have to make sure it doesn't get into your eyes. I'll try to find that video and post it up for you all.

On another note I had a request from a viewer asking if I could do a Bella Cullen vampire look. So now I will be doing that aswell, LOL I have so many twilight tutorials to do. Rosalie, Esme, Victoria, Jane, and now Bella Cullen. I think I will leave Bella Cullen for last as a big send off to my twilight tutorials. I have sorted out my Rosalie look but I have to wait for this mountain oops I mean pimple to go away before I film it LOL.

Love Jodie xoxo
